100 New to this - Need to pay my VPN with Bitcoin - Not an Investor, not long term. Wallet = Pay?

I am totally new and I read the side bar. My VPN for more than 1 dedicated IP addresses requires it to be paid via Bitcoin. I guess I can get a "wallet?" and fund it with cashapp or vemeo? Pay them from there. I just don't know the simplest method of doing this w/o having to pay a lot of fees. At that point I am better off finding a new VPN that allows for more than one dedicated IP. Thanks, appreciate any advice to make this easy.

Paying for a VPN with bitcoin. I'm so confused about the correct approach to do this.

Hey guys.
I'm interested in getting a VPN. It seems like everyone recommends using bitcoin, giftcard, cash, etc.
My only real option is bitcoin. However I'm getting so many mixed responses on the correct way to do this.
Some people say you should purchase bitcoins through tor, use a throwaway email address, and purchase the VPN like that.
Then i hear things such as Tor not being safe to use due to something involving exit nodes. It looks like there are ways to get around that problem, but it all seems extremely complicated.
I understand that VPNs do not make you anonymous, and i know that bitcoin isn't anonymous either. It's just safer.
I'm so confused as to how i should do this. I haven't used bitcoin or tor for years.
To be completely transparent, all i need a VPN for is to be able to torrent and avoid copyright trolls.
Do i really have to use tails/tor to get bitcoins to do all of this?
I swear this is giving me a migraine. i would appreciate any advice, thanks!

Pay for VPN with bitcoin

I'm going through the process of moving everything over to a VPN. I'm in Australia and they're spying on me.
I found a VPN recommended here which takes payments in bitcoin. In theory this is a good idea since they don't get any personal information attached to your credit card and your bank doesn't know about it. But in reality, if your VPN host decides to track you, it really wouldn't take long for them to find your identity anyway?
Your VPN host had access to your IP, your phone carrier, potentially your location and all the sites you visit. It wouldn't take too long for them to find out who you are if you do everything through them and don't drastically change your browsing habits.
Not sure how significant your bank knowing about the transaction is. I guess since my bank is also in Australia, that means the spying on Australians could figure out what VPN I'm with.
Also, I've been thinking that the best location for a VPN would be Hong Kong since that seems widely available, Snowden comfortable with their policies on privacy and it would increase less latency than other locations (other than California for all Californian traffic, but then NSA).
Am I missing any points?

For the everyday person, what's the advantage of being able to pay for your VPN service with gift cards, bitcoin etc?

Unless you live in a human rights abuse place or you're "borrowing/sharing" your neighbour's wifi, paying with a gift card is an unnecessary step. But if that's the case, then you're not really an everyday person, are you?
The VPN provider has your real IP and, if they handed it over to law enforcement, it would lead to your ISP account (which, in parts of the US, they even ask for your social security number at sign-up)
